Ex CEO of Cedar Realty Nancy H Mozzachio filed a lawsuit against the company’s current CEO Bruce Schanzer for the charges of pay discrimination and sexual harassment. According to Nancy Mozzachio on her statement last Nov 2 to CEO Bruce Schanzer, she says that he was giving improper comments to ladies at work. CEO Schanzer also called former COO Nancy “babe” and has made a few side comments about her breasts. CEO Schanzer is also being accused of making an imprudent comment about bringing some Double Ds to work while Nancy was drinking a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Also, the current CEO Schanzer is said to be giving out uncalled for hugs at work.
After the charges of pay disparity and sexual harassment was filed in court, the company has made a crucial decision to remove Nancy as Chief Operating Officer. She was supposed to have a meeting but it was canceled and after she was fired as Chief Operating Officer.
It was in the year 2015 when an outside investigator decided to open up the case, that’s also the time where Cedar Realty started probing on the said allegations. Nancy claimed that the charges from the female employees of the said company was never investigated. There was even one employee that reportedly went to Wall Street Journal to share her experience about Schanzer asking about the color of her underwear. For those complainants to keep their mouth shut, Cedar Realty has made a decision to pay them for the damages Schanzer has made.
Nancy Mozzachio is very well known for her triumphant career with the company. Starting her early years in the company last 2003 and 2004 as the Director for Leasing and Vice President for Leasing up until she has been promoted as Chief Operating Officer in the year 2004. Going back to her charges about pay disparity, she shared her sentiments about receiving a small amount of incentive she receives from the company, and compared to the company’s Chief Financial Officer, she receives a way lesser amount for her salary which should definitely be not the case. Cedar Realty has made a firm stand about how they plead no guilty and that through meticulous probing by the board, the result of the investigations were deemed has made the decision not to proceed with the lawsuit.
